This series corresponds to the UK’s Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) requirements for taking Grades 1-5 exams.  

Preparing For My Grade is a colourful and beautifully presented series of books to support grade preparation and progression. A collection of tasks, exercises, puzzles and quizzes with all the information you need to help you look more closely at your pieces, music history, theory and so much more. A fun and interactive way to explore your grade pieces and build a full understanding of all aspects of music that are relevant to that grade. Be confident that you have covered all the relevant information and reached the standard you are setting out to achieve. All the explanations are clear and do not require previous knowledge, follow the whole series and all the answers are there. A fun and engaging way to help you prepare for your grade exam.

Developed during years of teaching the books help both student and teacher to engage with all the elements required for each grade. It includes lots of fun tasks and challenges to help students increase their musical understanding. The scale quizzes are a great way to encourage students with their scales. By providing quick fire answers it helps with recall on the day of the exam and is a good way for parents to help with exam preparation at home. As a teacher it is often difficult to fit everything you want to convey into lessons. These books aim to help with tasks that can be set each week and the reassurance that the student has all the information they need to prepare effectively for their exam.
