Reflective Rag is one of two piano solo rags written in the mid-70s as private works meant just for the composer. It dreams introspectively throughout, mostly stationary in the piano's mid range. The main tune draws its melody in dashed, hesitant strokes, and the two trios hint at whole tone harmonies.
