The Troubadour’s Song was composed as a preparatory piece for work on Debussy’s “Syrinx”.  The present solo is of similar length, featuring melodic exoticism elegantly melded together with medieval flavor, and with charming roulades that demand a degree of technical maturity.  The Troubadour’s Song may be performed on its own, or as a lead-in to “Syrinx”.
