Inspired by Beethoven’s set of variations on Mozart’s “La ci darem la mano” for oboe trio, this theme and 4 variations is designed to be a fun challenge for three advanced flautists. Based on the popular folk song there are 2 fast variations, a jolly gallop and a melancholy minor key section,  finishing off with a coda returning to the style of the opening theme.
