Composed by L. Anderson
Arranged for flute choir by M. Orriss
Includes score and parts
Instrumentation:
Flute 1
Flute 2
Flute 3/Desk Bell
Flute 4/Guiro/Desk Bell
Alto Flute
Bass Flute
Performance Notes:
A Desk Bell and Guiro (played forte throughout) are used in this piece to imitate the carriage return and typewriter bell. It may be advisable to have the guiro on a stand as there are some quick changes. The desk bell should be placed on a high table between the 3rd and 4th flutes, clearly visible to the audience. It may be possible to use a real typewriter, particularly in the opening section, but 'air' typewriter is just as effective!
