“We Need a Little Christmas” is a happy, lively, fun song. It is an exceptionally enjoyable, entertaining piece written in a spirit that is perfect for any holiday concert. The familiar melody is written in cut time that moves along at a cheerful, energetic pace. Although not very difficult technically and rhythmically, once needs to be careful of the key changes. It begins in Eb Major, proceeds to F Major and ends in Db Major. This last modulation can be a bit of a challenge. “We Need a Little Christmas” will be a perfect closer for your holiday performance or can be used as an excellent encore! It is sure to get a cheer from your audience. They will be smiling and singing all the way home.
