Flute Choir Warm-up Book

The Flute Choir Warm-Up Book is a compilation of warm-up exercises to use with flute choirs of all ages and abilities.

There are five sections: Scale Warm-Ups, Long Tones and Chords, Flexibility Exercises, Chromatic Studies, Rounds and Chorales. These are simply a sampling and by no means complete. Try them in a variety of different keys with varying articulation, dynamics, and rhythms.

Not all exercises are written out completely. This helps with mental stimulation and also provides a lot of variety. Pick out exercises that best suit your particular needs, and that serve as a warmup for the pieces you will be rehearsing and/or performing.

Each book is complete; there are no parts.

Alto parts have been written for the Chorales section only. Alto flute may be added to any exercise by transposing – simply go down a 5th or up a 4th and add one flat to the key signature.
