This eveng song is a relatively simple yet beautiful arrangement of a six-part sacred choral (a capella) work by Josef Rheinberger.  All voices share equally in the melody and counterpoint. A full, rich sound, imitative of the vocal range of the original work (SSATTB or SAATTB), is possible with the use of the alto and bass flutes.
