The amuse-bouche, not an appetizer, per se, is an offering intended to set the table to prepare the palate for a main course to follow. In this vein, Schocker's three short tastings will set up a program of flute and oboe duets in fine fashion. Each of the three movements (saucisson sec, pain au chocolat, and cornichons) stands alone and reflects Schocker's mastery of beautiful melodic lines.
