Description
Ave Maria
Composer: Bach, J.S./Gounod
Publisher: Adams Magnificent Music
Instrumentation: Flute and Harp
This popular setting of the Latin text was originally published in 1853 as Meditation sur le Premier Prelude de Piano de S. Bach. It consists of a melody improvised by the French Romantic comoser Charles Gounod superimposed over the Prelude n1 in C BWV846 from Book I of the Well-Tempered Clavier, written by JS Bach some 137 years earlier. In this arrangement, there are also optional second and third parts that can be used.
