Canzone is an up-tempo original composition with catchy and interesting melodies throughout. Since this is scored for Piccolo, C Flute, Alto and Bass, the piece is easily adaptable for full flute choir. It is important to keep the tempo brisk and moving so the composition remains lively and happy. The work has a natural musical flow that will enhance the charm written into the music. There are a multitude of meter changes within the last 18 measures. Although a little tricky in this final section, there remains a pleasing and logical flow to them music. Canzone will make a nice addition to the flute repertoire. It is a pleasant and fun composition for all!
