This is a Jewish folk dong that is played at joyous occasions, where the guest dance the “hora” to this song.  The hora is a circle dance that usually starts out fairly slow, gradually getting faster and faster with each repeat until it ends.  In this arrangment, the tune begins ponderously, before getting faster and faster, ending with an exciting embellishment of the melody.
