Performance Notes:
      He Never Sleeps is a beautiful hymn seldom heard. It is slow in tempo and bluesy in style. Every effort should be made to keep the music flowing in a mellow, legato style. There is a modulation from the key of “E” major to “F” which gives a lift to the arrangement just prior to the end of the selection. The piano accompaniment will be found to be somewhat more difficult than the flute part.
      You will find the arrangement to be a great piece to use on a concert or in a church setting. Because of the style, some congregations will be more open to this than others. Special attention should be given to measure 41, a one measure cadenza meant to be played freely. I hope you will enjoy this a great deal and it is bound to become part of your basic library.
