Alto Flute: The Scarecrow, in search of a brain.
Bass Flute: The Cowardly Lion, in search of courage.
There is a fair amount of fun to be had acting out and playing like the different characters…

The ultimate encore! In this intricately written and dramatic arrangement from The Wizard of Oz the various instruments take on the roles of the Scarecrow, the Tinman and the Cowardly Lion, complete with easy but effective percussion, ideas for simple costumes and general fooling around! This is a truly entertaining number, but still has real musical worth.
