Although French-Canadian composer Calixa Lavallee is most well-known for composing the music to the Canadian national anthem “O Canada,” his compositional output ranges from solo repertoire works to multiple comic operettas. His most popular work for piano, the virtuosic concert etude titled Le Papillon, has been arranged here for flute choir by Nicholas Buonanni.
