Scarborough Fair (A Traditional Piece)
Arranged by Lombardo for 3 or 4 flutes
Includes score and parts
An English folksong from 1670, it is a ballad of a young man who is asking the listener to ask his former lover to perform a series of impossible tasks. If they are accomplished, he will then take her back. This tune was also made famous by Simon and Garfunkel in the 1960s. The arrangement does share the melody line between each part, with the other parts providing the harmony line underneath the solo part.
