Best known for his Rondeau that is popular with weddings and as the theme song for the PBS program Masterpiece Theater, he was a French Baroque composer.  These duets were written in 1725, while he was music director of Concert Spirituel, and were presented to the Prince of Conti Louis Armand II of Bourbon.
