Siyahamba (South African Folk Song)
Composed by Amy Rice-Young
Arranged for Flute Choir
Published by Alry Publications
Includes score and parts

“Siyahamba is a South African folksong and means “we are marching.” The rhythmic feel is most important, and, depending on the performance, you may choose to add some physical movement or choreography. If percussions players would like to add some improvisation, that is also suitable. Dynamics are especially important.”                           –     Amy Rice Young

Scored for 7 C flutes (optional picolo for flute 1, E-flat flute for flute 2, Flute D'Amore (B-Flat) for flute 5, optional alto flute for flute 6, optional bass flute for flute 7)       (optional percussion part included but not in the score: conga, tambourine, maracas)
