Performance Notes:
      Swing Along was composed in 2002, on an old cobbled-together computer using an old software program, while I was living with and caring for my terminally ill mother, and it was very therapeutic. I definitely wanted to feature the bass flute, but wanted all the players to have a chance to swing as well. This piece should never let up, but keep the energy going clear through to the end. The difference between the straight 8th notes and the swing 8th notes should be observed. Otherwise, just keep rocking and swinging and having a ball!
