Technically demanding, passing through a wide range of keys, the first flute will reach the C in the fourth octave while the second reaches the A.  All parts are very independent, and will challenge all four members of the quartet.  The second and third minuetts were written for Professor Augusto Michelangeli and Carlo Carignani, respectively.
