The Duettinos for flutes or violins in this volume, which lend themselves extremely well to use for teaching purposes, being only moderately demanding from a technical point of view and yet musically delightful, were published in about 1795 by Edmund Lee in Dublin.  For this new edition, we have used the score of that first Irish edition.  Details added by the editor are indicated as such by the use of smaller print, square brackets or broken ligatures.
