Two Renaissance madrigals by this colorful historical figure known as much for his shady exploits as for his compositional eccentricities.

Since this was originally vocal music, the flute ensemble must make a special effort to play expressively and with great variety of tonal color.  These madrigals will be most effective when played with two or theree flutes on each part. Please note that Part 5 may be played by bass, alto, or C flutes, or any combination. Optional parts are included.
