Great creative artists know how to take advantage of serendipity in their work. This collection of  “Valentines” is a case in point. When it turned out that Carol Wincenc’s “Naumberg Retrospective Concert” fell on February 14th, inspiration hit. She called upon composers that had written other works or concertos for her and asked, “How would you like to write a Valentine?” This collection is the magical result. A variety of styles and moods by some of today’s finest composers.
