Coloratura for Flute Quartet by Satoshi Yagisawa
Brain Ensemble Collection 94.
Instrumentation: 4 c flutes (Flute 1 doubles on piccolo)
Duration: 4:30
Score and parts
Composer’s Program Notes: Coloratura is another flute quartet work that was created following “Fioritura” commissioned by the Flute ensemble group “Filore” in 2004. Coloratura means “elaborated melody” in Italian. Please enjoy personalizing the work and applying it to yourselves as the song follows a course of events. Since Coloratura is so lyrical, it should be good for concert or contest and for sectional practice as well.
