Luna y Sierra by Wil Offermans
For flute solo with accompaniment by one or more instruments
Published by Zimmermann
Score only
Basically, the flute solo is performed by only one flutist. However, if more flutists are available, it is possible to divide the flute solo among them. When not playing the flute solo, one can join the accompaniment. The accompaniment part may be performed by one or more instruments that can produce a sustained sound. This could, for example be a flute; an alto or bass flute; any other type of wind instrument; a string instrument played with a bow; a male or female voice or even a synthesizer. The accompaning instrument(s) perform a repetition of long notes on D, independent from any other players.
