The Haffner Serenade KV250 presented here was originally scored for chamber orchestra and violin solo. It was written to be performed at the wedding of Elizabeth Haffner, the daughter of the mayor of Salzburg.  The composition is quite lengthy, consisting of numerous movements, which were probably played during different parts of the festivities.  Mozart composed this work in 1777, at the age of 21.

The Minuet and Rondo, arranged here for Solo C Flute and flute choir, reflect the festive mood of the marriage celebration and are certain to delight the listeners and performers. The bravura solo part is an enjoyable challenge, but each of the accompanying flute choir parts also have passages that require attention to technique and articulation.
