This instrumental solo book is for woodwind players looking to become well-versed in jazz, Latin and rock styles. Each book contains a number of exercises increasing in difficulty, with attention to various bass rhythms and articulation techniques, plus performance pieces in which the techniques addressed can be applied.
Composer Erik Veldkamp (b.1969) studies light music at the conservatories at Zwolle and Hilversum, the Netherlands from 1988 until 1996. These years resulted in diplomas for trumpet (jazz, light music), performing musician, lead trumpet and arranging. He currently works free-lance with many orchestras, including the Metropole Orkest, Glenn Miller Orchestra and the Skymasters.
