Two Movements from Botticelli Triptych by Ottorino Respighi
Arranged for Flute Orchestra by Shaul Ben-Meir
Includes score and parts
In early 1927, Respighi presented a concert of chamber music at the U.S. Library of Congress, sponsored by Mrs. Elizabeth Coolidge (wife of President Calvin Coolidge). In gratitude for her patronage, Respighi composed a work for small orchestra inspired by three Botticelli paintings which he called Trittico Botticelliano, or “Three Botticelli Pictures”, and dedicated it to the First Lady.
This arrangement presents two of the three movements:
I- Adoration of the Magi
II- Spring
