 This thrilling and elegant Waltz from The Nutcracker is set here for large flute forces, but still features moments of lightness and grace, including a short solo flute cadenza, which takes the place of the harp cadenza of the original work. As well as being a perennial Christmas favourite, this piece also featured in Disney's Fantasia, and has been included in the BBC's “Ten Pieces” list.  Honourable mention, NFA Newly Published Music Competition
